ClassicalDressage.com was formed in 1998 by Dr. Thomas and Shana Ritter as a means to disseminate information on the heritage and tradition of classical horsemanship. It is our mission to preserve and promote the art, culture, and knowledge of KLASSISCHE REITKUNST (Classical Riding).

Step Into Dressage (used to be Discovering Classical Dressage) Simon Battram is based in Bedford and will travel to surrounding areas to teach.

I get many requests asking if I give lunge lessons. I do, on the client’s own horse, but if you are looking for some intensive seat work, I can recommend none better

than Sue Nevill-Parker at Arrow Equestrian. Sue has been a long-term student of Erik Herbermann - and you don’t get much more classical than that!

A fantastic alternative to the real thing is Pauline Martin’s state-of-the-art simulator at Saul in Gloucestershire. ‘Charlie’ is brilliant for the novice rider wishing to gain confidence in a 100% safe environment, a rider coming off an injury or an advanced rider needing some seat refresher work. You can even ride in your own saddle if you want to!

Informative and Inspirational! An online magazine that lets you have a taster of its articles for free, but it is well worth getting the paid subscription as this gives you access to photos and video footage otherwise not available.

The Classical Riding Club was formed in 1995 by Sylvia Loch to bring together all HORSELOVERS.

Whether you  ride Dressage, Event, or Pleasure ride - this Club is for you! Basic Dressage should be the foundation for all riders and all disciplines - Hacking to Haute Ecole.

Improving your Dressage promotes a better way forward for all horses.
