I’ve had to completely rebuild the Classical Dressage Notebook from scratch and as a result there have been some changes that will mean you will need to re-bookmark the pages.

No book of riding instruction can explain riding by  generalities alone. If it is to be of any value a method must be  laid down.   Every detail must be explained, even at the risk of being long-winded, if the method to be described with absolute  clarity.

It's been a while, but I'm working on lots of articles at the moment to bring you plenty to think about in 2005.The first article is one to appear in the new Classical  Dressage Journal . It concerns the importance of riding accurate shapes in  the arena.  Arena  Figures and Exercises

I’ve also -finally - uploaded Part II of Straightness - How To Straighten The Horse and added a couple of new Q & A , which I hope to update more frequently.

Sitting Trot Woes is another attempt  to help those of you with this favourite topic with some fresh ideas and some Balance Finding  Exercises.

I’ve added a Search Engine to help you find your way around a bit better. There are so many pages that  are not listed in the main left-hand menu, that you may not realise  just how big this site is OR that what youre looking for is actually  here ... somewhere!

There’s also the Q & A section. I get certain questions, or variations of, emailed to me on a regular basis and I think if some of you are taking the trouble to write, many more  must be concerned with the same issues. If you have a  question for inclusion in this section, please use the link to the  form provided at the bottom of the Q & A page.
